Release of Returns Authorisation (RA) Module – July 2008

The Returns Authorisation or RA module has been developed to assist with the control and recording of returned product.

The module caters for the many varied options which may pertain to returned stock. These can include the need to test the return, issue either a charge or no-charge replacement, check warranty status, raise a credit note and possibly ultimately to return stock to the supplier.

The testing process allows for stock to return to an RA stocking point which can be used to issue replacement stock from, as opposed to the sale of new stock items. Testing notes are kept and these are attached to any serial-tracked products for subsequent history retrieval.

A special feature includes the addition of a history table of previously sold serial-tracked items which may not have been recorded within Propella originally.
