History

The Propella Group was formed in 1981 trading as Focus Computer Systems. For more than 28 years the Group has concentrated in an area of expertise encompassing accounting, distribution, manufacturing, job-costing and stock control applications.

The flagship Propella product began development in 2000. We saw a market opportunity for fully-featured, configurable business software which filled the gap between low-end shrink-wrapped products and the way-too-expensive mid-range products. Our product needed to be modifiable, on a standard platform, affordable, able to be run off-the-shelf if required and with dedicated support and post-sales service.

Propella was developed from the ground up to take full advantage of the SQL Server database and Microsoft's Windows platform. This means that Propella is not encumbered with performance limitations commonly found in products converted from older technology.

Customer relationships

A philosophy of building long relationships with customers is mirrored in the current client list which still includes companies we first met in the early 1980's. This is testament to the high level of after-sales service and support we provide.

Ulyssys and Colosys

The Propella Group expanded its stable of products in 2005 by purchasing the rights to develop, market and support Ulyssys, an international freight forwarding application and Colosys, warehouse management software developed by Data Freight Limited. Both applications can be integrated with Propella and offer a further dimension to the group's activities.
